Nakuru resident Leah Njoki recounts her ordeal of being chased from her home at night by her employer. While searching for a place to sleep, a man who offered to help her instead raped her for the entire night in his home.

Her mother and father, both peasant farmers, couldn’t feed their five children well, according to Leah, who grew up in poverty as one of the five children in her family. Due to a lack of funds, she only completed elementary school and did not continue on to high school.
For some reason she claimed that her father died of a short illness after she graduated from elementary school. As a housekeeper in Nairobi, she was hired by a woman who offered to pay for her to go to college.

During her time as a babysitter for her employer, Leah claimed that she had been learning how to make clothes. After a couple of years, she had earned her diploma. In order for her to start her own business, she needed money, and her employer promised to save some of the money she would have received as salary for this purpose.

Leah claimed that her employer’s baby fell from a high place while she was taking a shower one evening. When her boss arrived and saw the injuries, she began beating Leah before she could explain what had happened.
When I tried to explain what happened, she didn’t give me a chance. Leah commented.
As she had nowhere else to turn, she began walking the streets, where she eventually came across a young man. Afterward, he inquired about her situation and offered to help. She agreed to go with him to his parents’ house when he said he would.
Leah claims that when she arrived, the man locked her in his house and claimed that he had lied. Despite her cries for help, he began tearing her clothes apart. Despite her efforts to flee, he held a machete to her throat. He was able to get her undressed and began raping her as a result.

Even though Leah insisted she hadn’t had sex with a man before, the night she did was excruciatingly painful, according to her. When she started bleeding, he was done.
According to Leah, he slept with her ten times while smoking bhang during each of those encounters. That night, she didn’t sleep at all.
He chased her away while she was still bleeding, she claimed the following morning. Her fare is one hundred pounds. In the aftermath of Leah’s departure, she was furious and vowed never to be with another man again.
